I ordered this & asked them for some modifications & they did an excellent job. Shoes are really sturdy, well built & will last lifetime. The leather is really good. This is one of the best buys & have ordered for another one immediately. The prices might look steep but they are for a reason. This is a home grown brand & we must support them.

I wanted a Chelsea boot in a brown finish, and researched made to order boots that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Ended up finding BLKBRD, and sent them a WhatsApp message to figure out the ordering process. They answered all my questions promptly, and made recommendations so I could get exactly what I was looking for.

After a few weeks of manufacturing, the boots arrived quickly via DHL. I was assuming I would need to wear them several times to break them in, but they were surprisingly comfortable right out of the box. The boot shape looks great, and the team at BLKBRD helped me nail the sizing after mentioning some other shoes that fit me well.

If you're looking for custom boots but can't justify $500+ per pair, give BLKBRD a shot. I'm already on the hunt for my next pair, and will be ordering from BLKBRD.

Upon receipt the right side bootstrap/heel loop snapped by merely looping a finger through it.

Contacting the fellow on [****] who took my measurements about it resulted in silence.

Alright moving on. I'll just pay for a restitch, and get the other one changed too.

A week later of breaking in, the polish is cracking and falling off like dry glue. It does look like it'll develop a nice patina though it could also be the layers of replacement polish that have gone onto the tip and heel.

Obviously this review is not going to make it, but the audacity that you've asked for feedback on this product and the lack of response does guarantee this review will also be posted on r/Goodyearwelt and Insta.
