Featuring a 4 eyelet derby lace-up system and plain vamp, these shoes are perfect companion for any formal dress event. Being a very subtle and easier form of footwear, these are the perfect first pair of Hand-Welted or Goodyear Welted shoes one can own. 
To make our first time customers experience the superior constructed premium leather shoes, we are offering the Xavier at the minimum possible price for a hand-welted without compromising on the quality and craftsmanship even by a bit.

    Toe was too pointy for all day wear

    I have no issues with the construction of the shoes, only that the toe is more pointy than it seemed in the photo. I planned on wearing them as daily casual shoes for work but the toe makes it more formal and less comfortable for all day wear. Thank you for the rapid delivery and excellent service but I'm going to shop around for the loafers I'm buying next.

    Unbelievable Quality for Price

    Packaging was great and even came with a shoe cream and shoe horn! The leather seems of good quality for the price point.

    Comfort
    BLKBRD was very accommodating when I asked for half sizes. The oceanco last is generous and very comfortable. The footbed seems to be foam stitched together with leather on top.

    Value for Money
    I really don't think anyone does a handwelted shoe with a solid build at this price point. No one. The price BLKBRD is able to offer this shoe at is insane. Full grain uppers, leather stacked heels, and leather lining with minimal synthetic material.

    Conclusions
    Overall, I am very impressed by the shoe BLKBRD has delivered for the pricepoint. There were a few very minor QC issues but those are things you wouldn't notice from afar. Customer service was also very accommodating and friendly. I will be back to buy again.
